1938 Farmall F-14 restored by Don Altman of Spring Church, Pennsylvania. “My father had an F-14, so when I found this one in buckets and boxes in 2001, I decided to tackle my first tractor restoration,” Don explains. “I even found 40-inch split-rim rear wheels to make it just like his.”
“Last year, I bought back my father’s original F-14, and now I’m happily rounding up parts to restore it!”
1924 and 1926 Fordsons restored by Robert Morrison of McDonough, Georgia.
“In 1962, we spotted the 1924 in a field with trees growing through the wheel spokes,” Robert recalls. “Years before, a farmer had shut it down with the plow still in the ground, and passed away during lunch. It sat in that exact spot until we bought it. Restoration took 9 years, off and on.
“We got the ’26 from a farm up in the mountains of North Carolina. Those deep cleats gave it better traction on steep hillsides. It hadn’t been used in 30 years, but was mostly complete and had been stored inside.
“I love working on old tractors,” he adds. “You meet lots of interesting new people and learn lots of interesting new cuss words.”

1945 Oliver Row Crop 60 restored by Chuck Hoag from Redding, California. “Even though this was my third restoration, I didn’t know what I was getting into when I bought this Oliver for $200,” Chuck says. “The tractor was parked out in a field, and the engine was scattered around the barn.
“This total strip-down involved hours of research and a challenging hunt for parts. I bought the tractor in 2001, and completed it September 16, 2008.”
